  1. Sync between the 2D boards and commentators is awful, impossible to follow.

  2. The live chat during this made me realise the vast majority of spectators don’t play chess, like, at all. Magnus/Nakamura fanboys are the worst thing that had happened to this sport.

Go watch chess boxing instead, please, that’s more your intellectual level.

  3. The worst chess board synch since a while… Barely enjoyable.

  4. Magnus Carlsen is a strong player, maybe he is as strong as I am, I say maybe

  5. Seeing as how they had a widely ignored dress code, where the youngsters showed more respect than many of the adults, perhaps they should award a significant prize for the best dressed player.

Artemiev did a pretty good job, IMO, though I can't say the same for his hair cut. Maybe Carlsen was more on time today because he skipped the shower. He had a bed-head.

  6. Two mysterious results from round 14. Artemiev vs Dubov, Dubov resigned one move away from mate, and Madaminov vs Fedoseev where it was +9 when Fedoseev resigned. Results show Dubov and Fedoseev as winning. There has been no correction. On chess24 and 2700Chess you can't access these games.

Something happened. Can we have an explanation please.

  7. Don't know why, but Magnus winning makes me happy always.

  8. I think Abdusattorov low-key wanted magnuscarlsen to win and become the blitz champion

  9. Trent has to go. Way to biased. His commentary makes Carlsen be the worst player that has ever played. Get Trent off commentary.

  10. We need Danya and Hess back. Trent needs to retire from commentating. I do hope Howell keeps a spot on the team with the merger though.

  11. Can we stop the comparison of Hikaru with Magnus. He couldn't shine Magnus' shoes. Go back to your awful unwatchable stream and complain about the temp in the playing hall.

  12. Magnus almost froze time at 6s with the nepo game

  13. Trent has such an antagonistic, negative vibe to his commentary. Please don't commentate again. David Howell is a great commentator though, waiting for his future commentary sessions.

  14. HANS FANS STILL CHEATING, HIKARU FANS STILL DENYING, DUBOV, GIRI AND NEPO FANS STILL CRYING….KING CARLSEN FANS STILL GOATS…HAIL TO KING MAGNUS

  15. That David Howell, just easy to listen to. Lawrence, well done.

  16. Magnus Carlsen is a talented guy. I think he has good perspectives in the future

  17. Feel for Naka – so close, but didn't deliver on his potential yet again in a world championship.

  18. Can you fix the stream so that it shows the chess game without skipping moves

  19. Love the games. Hate how slow this digital board is. My goodness. Keep up. This is supposedly a high-tier event.

  20. why was asian guy crying during his match??????

  21. 1- no one watches women, y'all showed that to be equal and we missed magnus game
2- magnus is the GOAT undisuputed
3- he is the goat and king in all formats, blitz too , naka fans 🙂

  22. Thanks for great commentary both to David Howell and Lawrence Trent. Great job! I really enjoyed watching this championship. The game between Magnus and Richard Rapport was mind blowing. Richard got unlucky but the game was so much fun 🙂 I agree with the commentary that it was probably the game of the tournament! It wasn't a perfect precise game but it was very, very entertaining!

  23. Such great commentary, but what on earth is wrong with the board? Why is the onscreen board so many moves behind all the time? Makes it so hard to follow

  24. Well now it's official, the next world championship title will be totally meaningless, everybody knows who the actual world champion is!

  25. I’d like to say something kind about Lawrence but I’m at a loss. Any help is appreciated.

  26. Feedback:

Trent seems like a great guy, but he has this way of quietly yelling every word as though he is shocked but also super bored.

That combined with the routine 5-10 move jumps on the 2D board make this a pretty tough watch for me.

  27. GMs Daniel Naroditsky and David Howell woul be great commentators together. Wasn't a fan of Laurence Trent.

  28. It must be crazy the ammount of grown up men who kept saying ''rip kid'' cuz the kid lost. We live in a special kind of world nowadays.

  29. my god they need a new technology for the live chessboard… that things is late as fuck

  30. Chess is at an all time high in terms of popularity and the most view friendly and most hype tournament of the year occurs, yet the coverage is still abysmal. Why is it impossible for the dgt boards to quickly and laglessly update on the viewer digital board? Without this the games are unwatchable by most, ostrasizing a huge potential audience! Such a shame

  31. Is there no way to get the board to update in real time and show the moves when they're played? There's such a massive lag it's hard to follow the games, especially when it's most important and you get a dramatic high paced game like Carlsen Rapport. Such a shame.

  32. Magnus the greatest player ever in shorter time format, only because he is the one of the two greatest chess player in the world. it's completely unreal how he made it look easy 😆💯 for 12 consecutive years with 15 World Championship titles. No one comes close to Magsy in Faster time format or longer time format, while people stick to their comfort zones, Magnus conquers.

  33. trent gets his researchs and analytical ability from tarrot cards. no neat exposure to gm level chess maybe 🤷‍♂️
