This is a 55-minute tournament I competed in on lichess, namely the Gunsberg Tournament. This tournament was played while broadcasting at . Time controls are set at 3 minutes per player.
I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. I think that in the first round, the pairings should be easier
The flash would be the worst person to play blitz chess against.
Excited.
second
what you were talking about at 11:04, b4 was possible a move earlier because the bishop was protected by the knight and if the knight moves you can take the bishop
At 16:44, could you have captured the pawn on C3. It's a rook, king fork with no way to defend the rook. Plus you get another pawn.
21:25 username checks out
great tourney! I'm amazed at how fast you visualize your plans and ideal piece placement. Thanks as always for sharing so much insight!
26:37 didn't you have the pawn fork?
First game, right after you said I have a knight check, there was a fork on the rook
losing that first game caused you to only get 4th, because it paired you up with weaker opponents who took longer to finish their turns, and subsequently led to you playing 5 games less than farmville, so even though you had a higher winrate than him the sheer amount of games played allowed him to rack up the points
How could farmville have started with fire?
0:57 Don't move your queen out too early!
I guess if it's not time to berserk when you're playing as white against an 1100 in a 3 + 0 tournament when you're down points to a guy who is berserking and winning every game, it never is. I don't understand his timidness when it comes to earning more points…
@43:47 …Bg5 wins your queen
Hi Jerry! Did you ever participate in a 24h 5+0 marathon (on lichess)?
There is one kicking in on 6th of August:)
I likre this time control
Jerry I love you
aww no confetti 😐 maybe need to berserk against some of those sub-2000s — how many of those games did you win with 2min+ on the clock?
more blitz tournaments please! 😀
what is your fide rating
At 24:00 isn't Nxf5 winning?
what does the 3 / 0 notation mean ?
Ok Jerry who disliked this video 🤔
24:05 Why not Nxf5 for a free pawn because there's still Bd4 as you pointed out
Nice tournament Gerald. You would have won had you berserked. You have more class than that though.
Great as always
isnt b4 better instead of Rd1 10:41
What better thing could there be than 3 hours playing chess and watching some one playing chess for an hour afterwards?
Fairplay reward of the year goes to archone, for resigning, so that his clear defeat will still count as a victory for farmville in the tournament
DANG IT JERRY @16:43 why the HECK didn't you play Qxc3+ and pick up the rook
2:40
I feel like Bb3 would save you from losing material.
This is super late haha, but doesnt knight to e2 pick up the queen? Black can follow up with bishop to e3. Am I missi,g something?
