Blitz Chess Tournament #13 (3|0)

This is a 55-minute tournament I competed in on lichess. This tournament was created, and played while broadcasting at . Time controls are set at 3 minutes per player.

I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly. A top ten Jerry quote.

  10. Dang it I keep missing these streams!

  11. 19:35 ooh nice mate 🙂 Also you didn't have it one move sooner cause the capture on f6 takes the g7 square away from the king!

  12. I love watching your vids man! I'm a 730 ranked chess player and I wouldn't have improved so fast if it wasn't for your intuitive this king that rubs off on me. Thank you!!!

  13. Jerry gettin a little sassy in this vid… I like it. Also quality chess as expected =]

  14. Thanks Jerry! I'm having my first day at a new job tomorrow and I'm scared shitless. This stuff always helps me relax. 🙂

  15. How does Lichess find out the guy was using an engine?

  16. Jerry is my favourite tourny chess player to watch.

  17. 31:47
    Triggered in 3, 2, 1…
    Nb5
"Why am I being thrown beginner stuff?"

  18. You have the most calming commentary ever, keep up the wonderful streams/screencasts. Also, cool first game! I'll save my second-rate critique for another time haha. Best wishes, Oswald. 🙂

  19. For some reason you had me cracking up on several occasions, Jerry. Nice video! 👌

  20. I would love to see more Classical tournaments' videos. That'd be really good. Nice channel, fellow, i really enjoy your plays and commentaries.

  21. Vpanda was being sneaky and paused just to not get paired with you 😂

  22. Ooo, the engine-abuser is now infamous!

  23. The game that ended at minute 37 is so funny. Happens to all of us.

  24. (starting at 31:38)
"Look at this. It's like beginner stuff, man. Why is beginner stuff being thrown at me?
He's like 'one move threats… a fork on c7', GET OUT OF MY HOUSE, man!"
    -Jerry (NM), 2017

  25. why dont u analyse games like so vs kramnik , karjakin vs so or games liked that played recently instead of this.

  26. Jerry was hilarious in this one lol so entertaining to watch

  27. pretty sure vpanda64 was cheating, his account is closed now

  28. (50:54) Somehow Jerry didn't see 22…d4, winning a piece. (He also missed 23…d4 and 24…d4.)

  29. Someday it might become a meme to offer draws for no reason. I'll definitely do it if I ever get to play against Jerry 😛 Every time people offer draws he laughs about it and loses half his time.

  30. One thing I like about your play is that you treat every opponent equal, whether they're 3000 rated, or 1400. You never underestimate, or sandbag and player.

  31. This was a somewhat weird tournament. Jerry was in a weird mood, opponents played weird.
