By move 9 there is a great deal of symmetry to the position, and only 4 moves later would we observe not only a great structural imbalance, but also a piece imbalance. Given time, it’s difficult enough to properly assess a position type where one side has connected passed pawns along with a queen and pawn, against an enemy’s 2 minor pieces and a rook. How exactly to manage such an imbalanced position with blitz time controls? This was a 5|0 time control game, where I was playing with the black pieces.
