Blitz Chess #393: Scotch Game

The queens had little to say in this game, and left by move 7. Would white be able to exploit black’s uncastled king? Ideally when one works with a healthy pawn majority on one wing versus an opponent’s unhealthy pawn majority on the other wing, simplification is welcomed since the king and pawn specific endgame would be favorable. However, would the game even reach such simplicity? This was a 5|0 time control game, where I was playing with the white pieces.

  1. I love how easy to understand and logical your words/thoughts are, Jerry. I greatly enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to put them together, I appreciate it immensely. Good vibes 🙂

  2. yay I'm early!
thank you for your videos jerry. I have improved a lot from watching your games and analysis.

  3. How do you play so many different openings? It's amazing. Though don't you think restricting yourself to a smaller selection of openings would improve your accuracy/understanding?

  5. always awesome to have a new jerry vid, keep'em coming!

  6. you played a boring scoth… Be3 gives white a better game

  7. Am i the only one who likes his commentary and voice?

  8. "they straightened out their structure" no… YOU straightened out their structure FOR them lol if they captured on a5 it wasn't a big deal with 2 sets of double isolated pawns 😉

edit: you bring it up in the post mortem. thanks for clarifying!

  9. Will you upload the Yearly Hyper-Bullet you participated in at Lichess?

Third in the world! That's crazy

  10. I am really suprised Jerry how you missed twice(in game and in analasyis) move when you took h4 and he took your g-pawn you had Rh6+ and you pick up his B-pawn and thats wining idea, becasue you had good king position he couldnt do anything! He simply blundered b pawn with his move Ng7??!

  11. So berlinish! You're getting closer to the elite with this kind of structures 🙂

  12. at 25:41 the engine is showing a variation you didn't discuss that looks very interesting. 39. Rh6+ Kf7 40. Rxb6

  13. hey Jerry, i love your contento. check the app "really bad chess" i think it would make a very interesting video. saludos desde Argentina keep it up man

  14. Hi Jerry, nice video. I just have one doubt, what happens if you play Nc1 at 25:25 more or less with the plan to put it on f3 where it attacks the h pawn and defends your g pawn so that you can free your rook? Thanks in advance 🙂

  15. Hey man, great video, I'm still learning to play chess but I always have trouble at mid game, I really don't know what to do beside playing carelessly. PLease upload some mid-game tactics

  16. Why don't you show more than just the #1 move that the computer recommends? Top 3 would be nicer.

  17. hey thanks, i play this variation often. nice to see.

  18. this is a reupload if seen this before

  19. I#m from Germany, in my ears your english sounds very american, but which part
